More than 25 years ago. Mr. Chen Hsiu Shiu established a small factory producing a variety of products mainly utilizing rubber, one of Thailand’s leading natural resources. Initially, the Company produced rubber soles for shoes and small items for various industries. Not long after,

Mr. Chen discovered the making of rubber sinkers for the Thai commercial fishing industry. From then on, the Company continued to expand and diversify during which Mr. Chen’s son, Pawat Vitoorapakorn, took a more active role in the designing of high quality and low cost products substituting some expensive equipment which Thai fisherman had to import.

Following this period, the Company innovated many special manufacturing techniques producing rubber cork tape, grill net plastic floats and fishing net draw-rings; made of general purpose plastic inserted with steel to complete with the expensive imported nylon and stainless steel item. These early activities provided the knowledge and experience which today made Eastern Polymer Group successful in widely diversified industries and is one of the leaders in producing rubber insulation products which are exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.
